I have been a member of the Board since May 2020. Over the past four months I have enabled an increase in communication with the community by temporarily instituting weekly open Board meetings, developed a pool fine policy that reduced the number of serious violations, drafted a resolution to reinterpret the CC&Rs to allow homeowners to install stucco-mounted security cameras, and extensively researched security options for our community as part of the Safety and Security Committee.
I engage with residents on a daily basis, both online and in person, and take all viewpoints into consideration when solving problems within the community. As an engineer and project manager, I prefer implementing practical and realistic solutions.
Going forward, I intend to continue to find cost-effective ways to secure our community as well as identify other areas of improvement to help increase both our quality of life and our property values.
I am a retired Vietnam Veteran and my wife Denise is an Arizona Native and together we raised 12 very successful children. I was elected and represented 120 skilled tradesmen as a committee person during my years at GM. While living in Rancho Del Mar, corner of Country Club & Guadalupe, I was a member of a community group that raised over $30,000 in funds to refurbish our 480 home neighborhood. I was on the Palms Transition Committee and I was a member of 6 different HOA Committees.
If elected as your representative I will emphasize security, transparency, keeping our HOA dues at the current rate and community involvement. We would also recommend adding two more board members to give a broader representation in the community.
We would truly appreciate your support in this endeavor.
